We hopped aboard the express train from Butterworth to Kuala Lumpur, it’s an early morning start for the six hour ride, along the way the line passes through urban settings, virgin rainforest and plenty of palm tree plantations as well.
It’s a lovely way to travel, and a great way to see some of the countryside. Although I do suspect you get to see the back of everything, the back of houses, the back of towns, the back of factories. Some of it not pretty, but we found it interesting all the same.
