Random photos of the day.

Three days in Luang Prabang just doesn’t seem enough somehow, it’s the kind of languid lazy Sunday afternoon town that you feel happy to fritter away doing nothing much at all. After a few days a soporific calm seems to spread through us, maybe it’s the monks, or  the drifting smell of incense, or it could be the wine bars..

A quiet corner.

Smoky dawn across the river.

Business as usual.

On the doorstep.

Three shades of turmeric.

Mekong afternoon.

I’m just waiting on a monk.

Morning line-up.

Mekong sunset.

One Monk and one novice.

Dusk on the main street.

He’d seen it all before.

Almsgiving.
