Random photos of the day.

We’ve been in Ao Nang for a couple of days now, and it’s a really beautiful place, great beaches, and some amazing scenery, but I’m not finding it particularly photogenic for some reason, in fact it’s a bit of a struggle, it may be the change from the full on urban environment of Penang to this more tourist location will take a bit of getting used to. Anyway, here’s a few shots from today’s travels. We hope you enjoy them.

Sun lover.

Twin Palms.

He sells sea shells…

The morning rush.

Dog and bucket.

After school.

Pod, flower and leaf.

  1. Well if this is an off day I can see why your photos are great! I love all these, maybe even more than some of the older days! Keep em coming….

  2. I really don’t know why you prefaced this with an apology : great photos – yours always are. Loved the one of the shells. Had you thought to put together an arty photo book of your time in Asia? you should – your photos are excellent.

  3. Ao Nang…you need to go island hopping. may be, with a group of friends, try and negotiate a boat with fisherman at quayside Krabi for about THB1,500 for the whole day to take you all around Phanga Bay. there are immaculate beaches on the islands that dot Phanga (minus “James Bond” Island) LOL

    • if you go with one run by your fellow expats, you’d pay THB1,500 per person per day (or thereabouts, less hassle maybe). Railay Beach has sands as fine as grains of sugar (note: it’s a private resort though with trendy bar)
