A couple of shots from our first day in Penang. It’s good to see some sunlight after the muted cloud cover in Bangkok the past two weeks.
We haven’t had that much time to wander around too far just yet, the heat and lack of taxis have been a bit of a surprise, it seems much hotter than Bangkok and quite difficult to get anywhere. The city at first seemed to be quite large and hard to get our head around, although now, after a day looking, we’ve realized it’s not actually very big at all, the heritage zone in the center of George Town is quite walkable once you work out where you want to go. We were double backing on ourselves quite a bit at first, which is something you don’t want to do in 36 deg heat and 100% humidity.
